Dallas Weekly News

Social Media Manager | July, 2025 – February 2026

During my time producing graphics for Dallas Weekly, I worked directly with the CEO to establish an optimal posting schedule and built out the brand's visual kit from the ground up, giving the account a consistent look across every platform. From there, I created two original graphics per day tied to current news stories, working within tight daily deadlines to turn breaking headlines into clear, on-brand visuals.

The volume and pace of this work built real fluency in rapid content production, where I learned to make quick creative decisions without sacrificing quality or brand alignment. Graphics were designed in Canva and published across Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook from July 2025 through February 2026, reaching an Instagram audience of 20k+ followers.

Some Things Say Goodbye

Social Media Manager (Spec Project) | January 2026

For this project, I developed a spec social media campaign for an experimental black-and-white short film, as an exercise in planning marketing for a film from start to finish. I mapped out the content plan, wrote the copy, and designed the posts and brand look, building a rollout that follows the film through its life: a behind-the-scenes post, a For Your Consideration push for Best Live Action Short Film, and a festival win announcement for a Visual Award.

Because the film is stark and serious, the brand follows suit, with restrained copy, a monochrome palette, and layouts that let the work speak for itself. The project let me practice treating a film’s marketing as one cohesive system, where the planning, writing, and design all reinforce the same tone throughout each stage of the film’s life after production.

Oak Cliff Film Festival

Social Media Volunteer Team | June, 2025

For the 2025 Oak Cliff Film Festival, I designed a suite of promotional graphics for Instagram, spotlighting individual films, events, and activities throughout the festival. I worked under the social media manager alongside a team of other interns, collaborating to keep content organized and on-brand across a shared calendar.

Posting on a tight schedule was critical to the role, as each graphic needed to go up on time to align with film screenings and festival programming, so the work required both speed and precision under deadline. Graphics were made in Canva and published in June 2025, reaching the festival's Instagram audience of 8,000+ followers.
