For this project I designed a series of spec tour posters and graphics for My Chemical Romance’s 2026 The Black Parade tour, where I used the opportunity to push my process further with photo manipulation and mixed-software workflows. I started in Photoshop, running source photography through layered threshold adjustments to strip it down to stark black-and-white value studies, then reintroducing color selectively through duotone and screen-print-style overlays to build texture and grit reminiscent of vintage band merch and gig posters.

Halftone and paper-crease textures were layered in to give the pieces a worn, photocopied feel that matched the band's aesthetic. From there, I moved into Illustrator to handle typography, layout, and overlays to create a worn and ink-bled look. Working across both programs let me treat the photographic elements as raw material to distress and rebuild, while keeping the typography and final composition precise and fitting with My Chemical Romance’s current branding.
